Nicknamed "Fairy Tales in Glass" by artist JoAnnA Pierotti, her work inspired me to explore this new field of mixed media. I am forever grateful for her help and encouragement as I learned this new technique. I use antique and vintage bottles and embellish them with bits and pieces... words, cloth, beads, and more. All items are attached with encaustic wax and/or beeswax. Truly a special kind of art.  This particular bottle is adorned with a vintage bridal photo, ribbon, metal token, and a piece of vintage jewelry. I am imagining this bride adorning herself for her wedding day and dreaming of what her groom will do when he first sees her.
