Nicknamed "Fairy Tales in Glass" by artist JoAnnA Pierotti, her work inspired me to explore this new field of mixed media. I am forever grateful for her help and encouragement as I learned this new technique. I use antique and vintage bottles and embellish them with bits and pieces... words, cloth, beads, and more. All items are attached with encaustic wax and/or beeswax. Truly a special kind of art. A sweet antique postcard image is used here. Such a cute couple trying to hide a first kiss behind her parasol.
